Opposition party of Vetevendosje says the Parliament of Kosovo has been blocked by ruling coalition MPs who are not allowing decision-making and normal work of the Parliament. In a press release the Vetevendosje asked early elections as a solution to current political situation.
The Vetevendosje in its press release says that Tuesday’s debate at the Parliament related to the Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj’s decision to increase salaries of the Government has been continuously delayed, including voting of a resolution proposed related to this debate. “Ruling coalition MPs create ‘acrobatic’ moves in Parliament during the voting process aimed at provoking lack of quorum, because ruling coalition has no majority in Parliament to keep itself in power,” it is stated in the press release. Further the Vetevendosje says that current coalition “has lost its moral ground even without coming to power,” reminding that their coalition is unnatural and was created for personal interests. “Citizens of Kosovo do not deserve to remain hostage of such a coalition completely failed and irresponsible, which is blocking decision-making in Parliament. The country should go announce early elections. Every delay will further deteriorate political, economic and social situation in Kosovo. The democracy is the solution. The Government should be dismissed,” Vetevendosje said in its press release.
