Chairman of Social-Democratic Initiative and Deputy Prime Minister, Fatmir Limaj, says that Kosovo leaders have no right to discuss on behalf of Kosovo any kind of autonomy or a “Republika Srpska” within Kosovo.
“We cannot accept and allow creation of a ‘Republika Srpska’ in Kosovo, under no circumstances. Kosovo is more important than its institutional leaders and Kosovo citizens will not accept such a solution. We will not accept such a thing,” Limaj told news agency Kosovapress. Further Limaj said that what happened in Bosnia and Herzegovina, when the country is divided along ethnic lines, cannot happen in Kosovo.
Kosovo, according to Limaj, is a different reality and it will not be allowed to be divided as Bosnia. Talking on the final phase of the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, Limaj says that it has not started yet. Limaj says that the final phase of the dialogue means a legally-binding agreement, which leads to recognition of both countries, and it will not be leaded by an individual, but a negotiation team composed of ruling and opposition parties as well as civil society representatives.
