Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister, Enver Hoxhaj, has condemned recent actions of Serbia against Kosovo state leaders, by misusing international organisations. Recently Serbia has managed to put back in Interpol system arrest warrants for Kosovo President Hashim Thaci and Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj.
Hoxhaj said that Serbia continues to abuse international organizations to damage Kosovo leadership through Interpol warrants, with already proven false allegations. He said that such behaviours are not in contradiction with good neighbourhood or European perspective and will not help in normalisation of relations between the two countries.
“Serbia continues to abuse international organizations to damage Kosovo leadership through INTERPOL warrants, w/ already proven false allegations. This behaviour is not in line w/ good neighbouring or European perspective, nor it will help normalizing relations,” Hoxhaj Tweeted on Thursday.
Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic announced on Thursday they had "serious discussions" in Interpol’s HQ in Lyon of France, and insisted on the warrants against Kosovo Albanians to be reinstated. "They have been and are visible, with the exception of the warrants for Ramush Haradinaj and Hashim Thaci that are in the system, but will not be visible for a period of time," Belgrade media quote Stefanovic as saying.
