Redrawing borders returns tragedies, says Kosovo’s PM Haradinaj GazetaExpress

Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj says he hopes a peace treaty will end disputes between Kosovo and Serbia, noting that discussion of borders returns the region into the past and tragedies. He made the comments addressing EU-Kosovo Parliament’s Committee on Stabilisation-Association Agreement (SAA).

Haradinaj addressing members of Kosovo Parliament as well as members of the European Parliament (MEPs) who are visiting Kosovo said that discussing change of borders means return into the past. “When we talk about borders it means we return to the past, tragedies, but what we really hope is to have a peace treaty between Kosovo and Serbia. I support the dialogue with Serbia, but this does not mean returning into the past,” Haradinaj said. During the meeting Haradinaj thanked MEPs who during a voting last week supported visa-free regime with Kosovo. He also said that the EU integration process is one of the priorities of his Government.
