The Office of the High Representative of the European Union and Vice-President of the Commission, says that presidents Hashim Thaci of Kosovo and Aleksandar Vucic of Serbia, who are set to meet on Sunday in Brussels under Mogherini’s facilitation, are expected to continue their work on comprehensive normalisation phase of the dialogue.
Presidents Hashim Thaci and Aleksandar Vucic, through facilitation of the EU High Representative/Vice President Federica Mogherini started to work on a comprehensive normalisation of relations between Belgrade and Pristina in the form of a legally binding agreement in July 2017, Mogherini’s office told Gazeta Express. “They will continue their work on the comprehensive normalisation phase of the Dialogue, take stock of existing agreements, inform of achievements to date as well as discuss the next steps in view of an intensive period ahead during a meeting that the High Representative/Vice President will host on Sunday, 24 June 2018, in Brussels,” Mogherini’s office announced. According to the High Representative the agenda, format, pace of the Dialogue is set by the two sides.
President Thaci in a press conference on Thursday said that Kosovo and Serbia will discuss difficult topics, including border demarcation between the two countries. But Vucic reacted to Thaci’s statement saying that he will not go to Brussels if topics proposed by Thaci will be discussed. /Express/
