Zoran Vukotic, accused of killing four Albanian civilians on 5 May 1999, has been acquitted of committing war crimes due to lack of evidence.
Former Serbian police officer of reserve force, Zoran Vukotic, has been cleared on Wednesday of committing war crimes against Albanian civilians, including four murders. The court found him not guilty of beating and then killing four men - Hamdi Fazliu, Enver Rrustolli, Avdulla Fazliu and Fahredin Fazliu in municipality of Vushtrri on 5 May, 1999. He is still on trial on two other charges. The former policeman was extradited from Montenegro to Kosovo in November 2016.
