Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj commented the visit of the EU Enlargment Commissioner Johannes Hahn who is set to visit Pristina today. Haradianj si expected to meet Hahn today afternoon.
Hahn is visiting Kosovo amidst debate on revocation of tariffs on imported goods from Serbia and Bosnia and Heregovina. The EU has urged Kosovo to immediately revoke the tax saying that this is in violation with the EU values. Also the US has asked Kosovo authorities to revoke the decision on tax imposed in November 2018. “Kosovo has achieved positive results in the European agenda, by signing the Stabilization-Association Agreement and the European Reform Agenda. Commissioner Hahn is a party in this agenda. At the same time the visit is also about tax. The tax is related to mutual recognition with Serbia and has nothing to do with the European agenda. We welcome any suggestion or idea, however,” said Haradinaj on Thursday paying tributes to the Skanderbeg monument in Pristina center, marking 551 anniversary of death of the Albanian national hero.
