Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Behgjet Pacolli, said that solving of problems with neighbours is possible through Kosovo’s membership into the United Nations (UN) and other international institutions.
“Kosovo’s membership into the UN and other international mechanisms is our platform on solution of remaining problems with neighbours,” Pacolli wrote in Facebook, after meeting the EU foreign policy chief, Federica Mogherini in Brussels. “Kosovo is committed to good neighbourly relations aimed at European-Altantic integrations,” Pacolli said. He also said that visa liberalisation for Kosovo will take an epilogue once the European Commission publishes a report assessing Kosovo’s progress on implementation of all criteria. “I am optimist that there will be a positive recommendation,” Pacolli said.
Kosovo Foreign Minister was part of the Kosovo delegation headed by President Hashim Thaci who held a new round of the dialogue with Serbian delegation headed by President Aleksandar Vucic which was hosted by the EU foreign policy chief, Federica Mogherini. Ahead of the trilateral meeting Mogherini held bilateral meetings with delegations of both Kosovo and Serbia.
