Albanian prime minister Edi Rama has congratulated on Monday his Kosovo counterpart, Ramush Haradinaj for assuming his office.
PM Rama who was re-elected as prime minister of Albania after June 2017 election, presenting the program of his Government in Tirana said that he hopes as of 1 January 2018 the border between Albania and Kosovo will become an European border, without queues and police controls. Rama said that the Albanian Government has drafted a project on unification of the customs with Kosovo, reminding that he is expecting only approval of Kosovo authorities.
“I wish Kosovo PM Haradinaj wisdom, strength and health for the benefit og Kosovo. I hope we will agree on returning border between the two countries into an European border without miles-long queues and unnecessary police controls, hopefully as of 1 January 2018. We are ready and I hope that Kosovo will be ready. I also hope that unification of customs between Kosovo and Albania will be concluded as soon as possible to return customs and Albanian ports in customs of Kosovo. The project is ready, agreed by both sides. Approval from our side is ready, we are only expecting Kosovo Government’s approval,” Rama said. /Gazeta Express/
