The PDK-AAK-Nisma (PAN) coalition in a press release issued on Monday, expressed their concern, as they say, for the arbitrary decision of the Assembly session leader, Adem Mikullovci, to call resumption of the constitutive session of Assembly this Thursday.
According to the PAN, the session leader Mikullovci, who as the oldest MP is in charge of the proceedings at the Assembly until the speaker is voted in, took a unilateral decision by serving to interests of only one political entity, and has violated the principles of what was agreed during a consultative meeting of political parties’ representatives last Friday. “This decision of the session leader, proves that he and his party – the Vetevendosje, are interested to block the work of the Assembly of Kosovo even further and not offer a solution jointly with other parliamentary groups,” it is stated in the press release. The PAN coalition also announced that they will come out with a final decision onto whether to attend the session called by session leader after a consultative meeting of political representatives of parties which is expected to be held on Wednesday at 10:00. “Our coalition is convinced that our offer to avoid the crisis through voting the speaker of the Assembly and prime minister through a political agreement will be supported by majority of political parties represented in Assembly. Therefore, election of our nominee for Speaker, Kadri Veseli, and our nomine for prime minister, Ramush Haradinaj, despite efforts to block the Assembly of Kosovo, are irreversible political processes,” it is stated in the press release.
