Recent platform of Belgrade to divide Albanians and Serbs in two separate entities is a return to dark ages of chauvinism, said Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister and former foreign minister, Enver Hoxhaj.
The daily Koha Ditore reported on Friday that a document called “Platform on solution of Kosovo issue” drafted at the request of Serbian authorities, proposes creation of Albanian and Serbian entities in Kosovo. Publication of this document by Kosovo media has triggered reaction of Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister, Enver Hoxhaj. In a Tweet on Friday Hoxhaj said this platform is return to dark ages of chauvinism which left mark in the region to this day. Hoxhaj even said that the platform written by Nenad A. Vasic, for an institution funded by the Government of Serbia) reminds of Serbian chauvinism ideologists.
“Recent platform of Belgrade to divide Albanians and Serbs in two separate entities is a return to dark ages of chauvinism, consequences of which the region suffers to this day. Dr Vasic’s proposal reminds me of Dr. Cobrilovic and other Serb chauvinism ideologists,” Hoxhaj wrote.
Kosovo daily Koha Ditore reported that this document is intended to be Serbia’s stance towards Kosovo in the new phase of the EU-facilitated dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia in Brussels. The author writes that this document offers a “win-win” solution meaning that it will “satisfy both Serbs and Albanians.”
