Albanian President Ilir Meta in his second day of his official visit to Kosovo met Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haraidnaj, who was accompanied by his deputyies, Fatmir Limaj, Enver Hoxha, Dalibor Jevtic and Dardan Gashi.
Referring to excellent relations between Kosovo and Albania, President Meta said that time has come these relations be upgraded even further by implementing joint agenda of the two governments, focusing on infrastructure, education, freedom of movement and removing every bureaucratic barrier between the two countries. President Meta said that he hopes all these issues will be addressed during the upcoming meeting of the two governments, Gazeta Express reports.
Meta also assured Kosovo PM Haradinaj on strong support of Albania for Kosovo in the EU integration processes, and Kosovo’s membership into regional and international organisations.
Albanian President Meta stressed the importance of the visa liberalisation plays for Kosovo citizens and hopes that the Agreement on demarcation with Montenegro will be ratified soon, which is one of the last remaining criteria for Kosovo to get visa free regime.
Talking about the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, Meta said that continuation of the dialogue is not important only for the two countries but contributes to peace and stability in the region as well.
