Mayor of Drenas, Ramiz Lladrovci, who is seeking a second term in the 22 October municipal elections, has received threats and his car damaged late on Monday at around 22:00 near the Terstenik village in Drenas. The Kosovo Police announced that they have arrested a suspect related to this case.
“On Monday at around 22:30 we have opened a case of threat and damage of property. The case has happened in the village of Terstenik. The Kosovo Police has identified and arrested a suspect,” KP spokeswoman Flora Ahmeti told Gazeta Express.
Lladrovci is member of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) and is running for a second term for the Drenas municipality, in Drenica region which is known as the stronghold of the PDK.
Kosovo is set to hold municipal elections on 22 October and currently candidates for mayors and municipal assemblies are rallying in their respective municipalities hoping to win elections.
