Kosovo set for Government reshuffle after pressure from US, EU: online media GazetaExpress

Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj is expected to announce a government reshuffle after the U.S. and the EU criticized his cabinet for a high number of ministries and deputy ministers.

Online media Arbresh.info has learned that ruling coalition partners have agreed to reduce the number of 70 deputy ministers after pressure from the U.S. and the EU. Reportedly as of next week many ministers are expected to be dismissed. Halil Matoshi, media advisor to Prime Minister Haradinaj told Arbresh.info that the Government has no such information. “The deputy ministers have on Monday submitted detail reports on their performance. We are not informed that allegedly the U.S. and EU is asking reshuffle of Government,” Matoshi said. Also senior member of the PDK, Zenun Pajaziti, whose party is part of the ruling coalition, said that they are not aware of the potential government reshuffle. “No I am not aware of this information. All what I heard is that there is a tendency to draft the law on Government and regulate this with the law,” said Pajaziti. With 21 ministers and around 70 deputy ministers Ramush Haradinaj's government is the largest Kosovo has ever had.
