Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj is optimistic the Parliament session on ratification of the Agreement on border demarcation between Kosovo and Montenegro will be held this week. He said all parties are about to reach a final consensus and finally ratify the demarcation this week.
Hoxhaj even said that political parties representing Serbian community will vote ratification of the border deal. “All partners in the government, political parties, who represent Kosovo citizens and parties representing Serbian and non-Serbian communities will vote in favour of this agreement. We are about to reach a full political consensus with the government partners, as well as with other MPs who should vote this agreement,” Hoxhaj told online media Ekonomia Online.
The Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj said that there is nothing new when it comes to ratification of demarcation. Head of Parliamentary Group of Haradinaj’s Party, AAK, Ahmet Isufi said that consultations with all parties are ongoing aimed at securing 80 votes needed to ratify the disputed border deal with Montenegro. MP Blerta Deliu representing ruling party PDK, said that the demarcation will be ratified soon and the negotiations to secure majority are going “in the right direction.”
